I would like my house painted, who do I call?

Posted on: January 30th, 2012

I want my house painted!

How many times have we heard that phrase here in the office? Thousands! Well, you have certainly found the right people to ask as NPA have been painting houses all across the UK since the 80′s.

In today’s world where saving money seems to be at the forefront of everyone’s mind, the chaps at NEVER PAINT AGAIN have a money saving house repair and painting method which guarantees the home owner that he or she will not have to paint the exterior walls of their house for up to 20 years!

This amazing system is not a gimmick, it has been available in similar forms since the 1970′s in the UK, and therefore has many years proof of performance in not only actually lasting as long as we say, but also it’s proven to weatherproof house exterior walls. There are many reasons why a long life house paint coating on your walls is preferable over normal paint, but hey we’re somewhat biased of course!

Why not stick to yearly painting?

Estimate for painting and decorating house

Decorating quote for house

It’s that time of year yet again, to find a reputable decorator to give you a price quote or estimate for painting the exterior of your house. It seems like only last year you paid to have it done, in fact, it probably was last year!

Every single year, or 2 years if you are one of the lucky ones, it’s time to find a decorator to give you a price to have the outside of the property painted.

Getting 3 quotes, waiting around for people who then never turn up, calling more people, trawling the internet for advice, checking out the possible scams, doing reference checks on tradesman, its a right load of hassle and in this day and age, wouldn’t it be nice if there was another way?

Another way to avoid yearly house painting, avoid cowboy and cash-in-hand painters, and to finally cure all the wall problems that the decorator just paints over, smiling as he does, because he knows next year he can fleece you of another 2 grand.

If only there was another way!

Well i’m very pleased to tell you THERE IS another way.

There is now a simple wall coating system available from NEVER PAINT AGAIN!

BBC reports Ancient paint factory unearthed

Posted on: October 14th, 2011

By Jonathan Amos Science correspondent, BBC News

Blombos Cave (Magnus Haaland) Blombos Cave is an archaeological site with significant information about the behaviour of our ancestors

The kits used by humans 100,000 years ago to make paint have been found at the famous archaeological site of Blombos Cave in South Africa.

The hoard includes red and yellow pigments, shell containers, and the grinding cobbles and bone spatulas to work up a paste – everything an ancient artist might need in their workshop.

This extraordinary discovery is reported in the journal Science.

It is proof, say researchers, of our early ancestors’ complexity of thought.

“This is significant because it is pushing back the boundaries of our understanding of when Homo sapiens – people like us – first became modern,” said Prof Christopher Henshilwood from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.

“These finds indicate that humans were certainly thinking in a modern way, in a way that is cognitively advanced, at least 100,000 years ago,” he told BBC News.

Prof Henshilwood shows what was found and how the tools were used

Blombos Cave on the southern Cape Coast, 300km east of Cape Town, has been giving up remarkable archaeological treasures for more than 20 years.

Scientists have been scraping down through its sandy sediments to find all manner of artefacts left by the Middle Stone Age people who occupied the limestone cavity.

In 2002, researchers described 70,000-year-old blocks of ochre. This soft stone contains iron oxides that can be used as a pigment, or colouring agent. (more…)

House damp proofing company

Posted on: August 1st, 2011

If your house suffers from rising damp and the cause is not a simple damp bridge, then the damp-proof course (DPC) has probably failed. The quickest and least expensive method of installing a new damp course is to inject special silicone liquid into the brickwork all round the house, along the line of the existing DPC. It is possible to hire the equipment and inject the liquid yourself, but there are several reasons why this is best left to a specialist contractor. (more…)

Damp Proofing Walls

If you are planning to build a structure (home) then a damp proofing contractor (DPC) is necessary for the project to be successful. Even though they do not perform the most exciting part of the project, their work is very important. Normally damp proofing contractors repair brickwork, woodwork, prevent the fungal reaction in both the floors and roofs, and even more. (more…)
